Maryanne May is a pencil artist based in Kolonga Queensland. Specialising in colour pencil and graphite. Maryanne’s passion for drawing was ignited in 2016 when she joined the Gin Gin Fine Arts group.
Exhitibition history includes two solo exhibitions at the Gin Gin Courthouse Gallery in 2019 and 2023. Also group exhibitions with the Fine Arts group from 2017 to 2025 at the Courthouse Gallery.
Maryanne has also participated in the Gladstone Hanson Memorial Art Prize in 2022 and 2024. Bundaberg Art Prize 2024, and Moore Park Beach Art Prize 2022 and 2024.
Maryanne won Best in Show for Fine Arts at the Gin Gin Show in 2024.
Currently Maryanne is passing on her passion for drawing with weekly Adult Drawing Classes and for Art generally as the President of the Gin Gin Courthouse Gallery.
